However, with the growing IT landscape, the attack surface for cybercrime is also increasing. \u00ab\u00a0<em>Smaller businesses in particular are often inadequately protected and underestimate the <\/em>risks,\u00a0\u00bb warns Schumacher. It is no longer just a question of large data leaks, but of everyday digital resilience: How secure is my website? Who has access to my systems? Working on private laptops or smartphones without protective measures is also risky, especially when accessing sensitive data or shop systems. \u00ab\u00a0<em>A single cyberattack can <\/em>paralyse<em> operations for days or even weeks<\/em>,\u00a0\u00bb says Schumacher. The consequences range from economic losses to a serious loss of customer trust. This is \u00a0\u00bb \u00a0\u00bb damage that can only be repaired in the digital space with great effort. \u00ab\u00a0<em>Digital security is no longer an option. It is just as much a part of business management as cash register or <\/em>warehouse management,\u00a0\u00bb says the BLIM managing director. Many measures can already be implemented with a manageable amount of resources: strong passwords, multi-factor logins, regular updates, training and, above all, a clear security strategy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trust is the currency of commerce<br \/>\n<\/strong>Whether customers leave their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sport2000international.com\/fr\/blog\/2024\/06\/data-is-a-gamechanger-for-the-sports-retail-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">data<\/a> in a web shop depends largely on trust. This trust is built through secure, high-performance and professionally designed digital processes: GDPR-compliant tracking, transparent communication, fast loading times and a stable infrastructure are essential today. \u00ab\u00a0<em>Security and trust are closely linked in the digital space. They determine whether customers stay or <\/em>leave,\u00a0\u00bb says Schumacher.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Partnership for sustainable growth<br \/>\n<\/strong>The collaboration between SPORT 2000 Group International and BLIM shows that security and innovation are not opposites, but rather reinforce each other.
